Congratulations Jillian and TJ!  Thank you for submitting the story on how you two met.

There is no doubt in our minds that you two will have that same “second sight” feeling on your wedding day

Please see below for Jillian and TJ’s story:

Even though it was almost eight years ago, we both remember the night
we fell in love.  It was only the second time we saw each other.  I
will give a little background on the first time we saw each other
because it sets the scene for the second time.

THE FIRST SIGHT:  It was about midnight on a Saturday night in
October.  I was with my friend Lindsay and TJ was with a couple of his
friends.  Lindsay and I were walking to our car when I spotted TJ a
little further down the street walking towards us.  As TJ and his
friends approached, I noticed TJ and immediately said “you’re cute”
(this was a big deal – because it’s totally not like me to do
something like that!)  He stopped in his tracks and we began to talk.
The conversation only last about 5 minutes, but we exchanged numbers
and went on our way.  He called me the next day.  We totally hit it
off during our first conversation.  We learned that we share the same
birthday, December 21 (but he is 5 years older!) and that we grew up
only a couple of towns apart. We set up a time for the following
weekend to meet up with some friends (the first “official” date to the
Boston Aquarium came later!)

THE SECOND SIGHT:  We decided that Boston Billiards would be a great
place to meet up, have a good time and get to know each other.  I was
with Lindsay again and we arrived a little late.  We entered Boston
Billiards and to our surprise there were at least 5 pool tables
occupied by 5 different groups of guys.  I looked at Lindsay and said
“oh my goodness – I have only seen TJ once, there are a ton of guys
over there.  I am going to feel really silly when I can’t remember
what he looks like.”  She laughed and said let’s just walk over there.
So we started to walk and my heart was racing. I remember feeling so
uncomfortable and nervous – but only for about 20 seconds – because
then our eyes met.  There was no question in my mind that that was TJ.
We locked eyes and smiled at each other.  My heart melted – I had
never felt the way I felt when I saw him.  It was amazing.

LATER:  A while later in our relationship, we talked about that night
at Boston Billiards.  I told him about my fear when I walked into
Boston Billiards.  He told me that there was no way he could have
forgot what I looked like and when he saw me that second time – he
knew I was the one.  Even today, almost 8 years later, when we go
anywhere and for some reason arrive separately, we are reminded of
that “second sight” when I walk in and our eyes meet.  When people ask
us how we met, we always respond “we met on the street”  It’s a little
silly – but 100% true.  We crossed paths that night in October for a
reason and we are so lucky to have found each other.
